How it works

During monthly group coaching sessions guided by Backstory Preaching Mentor and Clergy Coach, the Rev’d Caroline Penhale, you’ll navigate the unique challenges of a first call, covering topics like:
how to discern the unspoken expectations of your congregation
how to negotiate your sermon prep time in your ministry context
how to exegete your congregation
how to protect sermon prep time in the midst of the ever-changing daily world of parish life
and more
Rather than finding your way through the overwhelm of your first call alone, you can work with a seasoned preaching coach to discover best practices and set yourself up for a lifetime of thriving ministry.
And you’ll get to share the camaraderie of peers navigating the same.
All live sessions are held via Zoom.
